Ap is a boy of Moroccan origin who was already born in the Netherlands and wants to find his place in Dutch society. He wants to make an informed decision about his life; live like your older brother and younger sister, who are already more Dutch than Moroccan, or continue with old family traditions and marry a Moroccan girl? Ap decides to take his fate seriously and therefore tries several things: his attempts range from a bank employee to a bank robber, from a butcher to a fleeing groom, but nothing really works. The film is a bloody comedy with amazing twists, witty dialogues and bloody characters on the one hand, and a serious story about cultural differences, tradition, change, acceptance and rejection on the other.
