The term circus of monsters comes from England, where a party was once held in honor of the one sentenced to death on the last night before his execution. Leticia's (Halle Berry) life is moving at full speed towards collapse. Her husband is on the verge of death, he has to deal with his child’s problems and he has to support his family as a single black woman. When it all seems over, fate brings him together with the man (Billy Bob Thornton) who executed the death sentence on her husband. The situation is further complicated by the fact that the man’s son, Sonny (Heath Ledger), is also working on the death row, coming into conflict with his father over the execution because he is deeply touched and upset by the behavior of the man awaiting execution. The Orbiter of Monsters is a story of the intertwined and unpredictable intertwining of human destinies. Halle Berry was awarded an OSCAR Award for her role in the film.
